Hey! It is that time again.  It is Check In #2. Remember that this check in is MANDATORY. Please check in by commenting here, DMing on twitter, or emailing us.  Brag about how much you’ve done, commiserate about how hard going it is, ask for help with stumbling blocks, let us know that you are completely done and looking for a new challenge, let us know that you were on vacation for two weeks and haven’t touched it, but mostly, remember that we exist and that you are signed up!

If you haven’t checked in by Monday we will come find you (ominous music plays) and if you haven’t responded to that message by next Saturday we will cry as we remove you from the participant list. (Please don’t make us cry.)

It's all recorded (except the end notes but eh), I just need to figure out this sfx thing.

I am doing well! Stormborn is completely recorded and I have found and trimmed the 28 (TWENTY-EIGHT) pieces of music I am using. I have a third of it edited and I'm hoping to edit another third today (we'll see how far I get).

(also, I am half done recording the fic that I really wanted to do for podfic big bang before I got distracted by Stormborn so who knows, maybe I'll get that one done too)

I had most of the fic recorded but the last part I did needs to be redone. Issues with the equipment made me sound like I was in a cavern and yeah, noise reduction was not going to help. But it's only the last quarter. Everything else is edited and cleaned up. So yay?

I think I'm just going to stick with one fic this time around. Ambition made me want to do two, and I might be able to do it still but yeah, life got in the way.

Sounds like you are well on track despite the set backs (which suuuuuck). Two podfics would be awesome as we all know, but don't push too hard. Get one done first :) (I too have this problem. "I WILL DO ALL THE THINGS!!" "what do you mean LIFE? what is that? It isn't podfic!") Who knows, maybe the second one will be super smooth!

I'm still at a good level (enough to request cover art!).
My visual edits are done so next it's pacing, and possibly adding sound effects? I'm deciding on that.

Never Going Back Again is finished! \o/ I just want to have someone look over it for audio levels (I don't use music typically but basically put a whole road trip playlist in the podfic /o\) but very happy that it's 95% done.

Have decided that I will sadly have to drop out of completing the epic challenge (maybe next year!), but am going to finish editing a second standard big bang (you can fake it for awhile) instead. Editing 2 hrs instead of 15 is probably better for my sanity haha.

Life caught up to me last month so I've only gotten a teeny bit more done (I'm at 59%) but I have a lot of free time coming up, so I should be all good :D

I have not made much progress since last check in unfortunately!! pbb's ended up at the bottom of my priorities with all the other stuff I've been doing, but I'm hoping after pod together is done I can get into a more regular recording schedule.

I finally settled on a vocal style that I can live with. I'm six chapters in (record + edit), so, a little under half way.

finding the vocal style can be the hardest part sometimes. It's hard to record when you haven't found it. But now that you have I have full confidence in you!

I did beta listen and a couple pick up edits on Where the Wild Song Echoes and don't hate the sound quality so my project is done as soon as I actually export it \o/ I actually just made cover art for myself today because I had a specific image I wanted, so it's basically ready to go!

I started a 61k fic that I'm 8/13ths of the way through, and now I guess I have to decide if I'm saving it as an ITPE treat or making it a second PBB piece and asking for art on it...

I haven't made any progress since the first checkin, but I'm definitely going to finish on time - i might have to give up on one fic, but I'm finishing one for sure! I just need a full weekend for recording

Oh woe is me I have half of my fic recorded, and I've been doing basic editing as I go! Oh woe is me it's such a hard road! I'm definitely going to need a person to beta-listen to 180k of YoI/Pacrim fusion!

Seriously though, this has been a blast! I'm right on track!

I'm doing pretty well out of 12 chapters I have 9 recorded and 5 fully edited. 14 parts out of 24 done...

Hiiiiii, I want to pull my hair out and punch something but I have almost finished recording. Editing should be quicker... maybe. I didn’t realise how much extra effort it would be for a fandom I kinda fell out of. Oh well, I still love the characters :3

I am currently 55% complete, according to my spreadsheet (aka 76% recorded and 34% edited, divided by 2). This podfic really kicked my ass in the beginning. I had 4 chapters recorded and stopped for about a year because I couldn't find my mojo... then I recorded 25K in a week. Now I've switched from recording to editing because it's such a great story and I don't want it to be over yet. DX

I finally recorded the whole thing but I haven't had the time to check the recording yet so if I'm unlucky, it'll turn out my pace is off or something else is wrong. I'm glad I still have some time to decide whether I should submit it for art claims.

I have 12/25 chapters recorded and 6 chapters fully edited and betaed. I also carved out some time in a few weeks to record the remaining chapters, so barring catastrophe I think I'm on track.

Doing well! I borrowed an air-conditioned podfic closet to get all of the Five Years series recorded. It's not been edited yet because Pod-Together is taking precedence right now, but I'm confident I'll get the editing done fairly quickly.

On track, and possibly even ahead of schedule!

I'm doing a lot of things at the same time for this podfic, i hope you can understand my check in =p

1-I've done the first editing of 3 hrs, edited a second time (re-edited?) the first hour, got a beta, sent that 1 hr to betaing
2-Re-recorded two scenes
3-I am doing the first editing the last of the recording (like 1 hr and a half?)
And doing the second editing of the 2hrs i have already edited
