Yikes! I just tried clicking as well and the same thing happened. However, when I copied the links and pasted them in Chrome, they worked. I'm not sure why clicking the link doesn't work. I'll let eosrose know, maybe she can fix it or tell me how I can fix it. I'm at work though, and probably won't be able to mess with it until tonight. Sorry!

I had a longish commute today which was great as I got to listen to Out in the Open! It was an excellent recording - very gripping and well-paced, and I love that story but last read it ages ago so it was still fresh. I really liked the effects you did with all the radio dialog - I don't think you used reverb which is what I've done in the past - did you speak through something while recording, maybe? It worked really well, anyway - still clear, but slightly distorted like over a comm system. Lots of teamy feels and some nice hurt and comfort - a very satisfying listen!

Oh and Cybel - love the cover - a great choice of imagery.

Yeah, I used a measuring cup. Very high tech. :) I wanted something I could easily hold in front of my mouth while speaking the radio parts and move away when it wasn't needed. It didn't take me too long to coordinate it. And it was much easier than trying to add sound effects to already recorded sound. The "walkie-talkie" effect in Audacity sounded terrible. I was aiming for subtle and I guess it worked! Xparrot also noticed it and liked it. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. It is an awesome story and was great to podfic.
