In 2015, Podfic Big Bang presents the Epic Edition, henceforth known as Epic Podfic Big Bang or EPBB! This edition of the challenge will run for eight months, from January through August, with posting scheduled for the first week in September. With a 75,000-word minimum requirement, podficcers will be expected to record and edit approximately 10,000 words per month.
Never fear! The usual Podfic Big Bang with the 10,000-word minimum requirement will begin immediately after the epic round ends and span four months, with posting scheduled for the end of December. Anyone who doesn't finish their 75,000 words in time for EPBB will, of course, be welcome to post it during the regular PBB.

Podficcers
- Your mission is to record at least 75,000 words in a single fandom.
- Individual podficcers may record one podfic or many to meet the minimum word requirement, so long as all podfics are within the same fandom.
- Multiple podficcers may collaborate to record one multivoice podfic to meet the minimum word requirement. Contact
eosrose to propose a possible exception, if you wish to organize some variety of multivoice podfic anthology around this challenge. You have a laid back mod, so don't be afraid!
- All requests for art should be submitted to
podparty by June 5th in order to be added to the official match-up post. Your request will be held in the queue until the match-up post goes live on June 6th.
- You have the option of collaborating with other podficcers.
- You have the option of collaborating with an artist from the start—you might try seeking an artist with similar interests and choosing a fic (or multiple fics) for the challenge together.
- You may chose to submit as many 75,000-word projects as you choose, for an added challenge. I know there are overachievers out there...
Artists
- Your mission is to make an artistic contribution to the podfic. This contribution may come in the form of designing podfic covers, providing sound effects, incorporating musical selections, composing an original score, creating a podfic trailer or vid, or some other creative endeavor.
- All offers for art will be held in the moderation queue until official match-ups/claiming begins on June 6th.
- You have the option of collaborating with other artists.
- You have the option of collaborating with a podficcer from the start—you might try seeking a podficcer with similar interests and choosing a fic for the challenge together.
Betas/Cheerleaders
- Your mission is to support podficcers and artists by: listening to rants; offering advice; listening to podfic or previewing art drafts and providing reviews, comments, and general squeeing.
