My utter an complete apologies for not getting this up on Saturday!!  My only defense is that I was attending a con.  But it's here now!! Check in number 3!  How are you doing?  What has been difficult? What has been easier than expected? Are you where you want to be in the process?

Reminder that we're having a GSD boot camp week from the 10th-16th so if you're not quite where you want to be, that is OK.

I'm doing awesome! I've finished my podfic pig bang project and am trucking right along with my Epic project as well. I'm getting better at finding time to work around/with my new job. I also solved my cover art dilemma so that is awesome!

I'm way behind on schedule which is due to me working on After Camlann Big Bang as well. I've recorded all of the big bang fic and edited the first of four recordings. I haven't even started on the fic I want to record for epic bang but after ACBB has been posted in August, I'll have more time to work on it and hopefully still make it.

It sounds like despite being behind schedule, you have a handle on what you need to do and how to get it done. Darn those other big bangs for requiring your time :)

I have recorded and edited three of the five chapters of my fic, and I'm about halfway through recording the fourth chapter. I'd like to be further along, but I guess I'll get my chance in boot camp.

I definitely need a beta-listener. I've never really tried putting on accents in podfic before, but I'm trying to give Eliot a bit of a Southern twang, and a British accent for Sophie. I want to know if I'm doing a good job or if I should just re-record their lines in my own accent.

accents are hard (at least for me). You're super amazing for even attempting them! We'll try and encourage you a lot in the boot camp!

I've made great progress in the last few days!

Podfic BB is fully recorded and edited, so now I just need to listen to the whole thing again, rerecord some minor stuff and figure out music.

For Epic Podfic BB, I'm still not entirely sure which fic I'm gonna do, but I did get permission to record one of my favourite series, so I may end up doing that one. But I have two backup options, so... yeah, now I just need to actually start recording. :D

Other than intro/outro music, my Podfic Big Bang is totally done!

And apparently I have zero chill for my my Epic Podfic Big Bang fic, because it's almost done too. All chapters recorded and only 2/24 left to edit. I was hoping to get it done by the end of September since I have no free time after that, so this is WAY ahead of schedule, which I'm pretty excited about.

My only issue is that I don't actually have permission to podfic the EPBB story yet :( Another podficcer had asked permission to record it back in February, and the author said yes, so I thought it wouldn't be a problem. But it looks like they've stopped responding to comments on AO3, and I can't find any other contact for them. I'm going to post another comment asking to podfic it, but if that doesn't work I'm not really sure what to do. I'm kind of leaning towards 'just post it anyway', because the author has okayed this particular fic being recorded before! But at the same time that doesn't seem like quite the right thing to do...

I think it's totally okay for you to post this podfic and tell the author, "I heard you previously gave permission and made a dilligent effort to contact you. If you'd like to talk to me, my info is [here]."

I can do some internet snooping and try to find another way to contact this person. My Google-fu is strong.

I'm of the mind to be cautious about posting podfic without permission but I see you already have help some someone who's google fu is WAY stronger than mine. If you do post it it's probably good to add a comment in post like "the author gave permission to some else a while ago and that person hasn't posted and the author isn't responding to comments so I'm posting any way. If you are the author and don't want this up let me know and we can talk about it." Or something like that. That's just my opinion though.

I'm 52% recorded and edited for this story, but I'm feeling a little exhausted. rscreighton has been an amazing help this past month as my personal cheerleader and sprinting partner. However, by the end of month I need to: apply to real jobs, work my summer job, finish this podfic, and study for my teaching certification.

I'll need to get keep a tight schedule of I want to get everything done on time. I *think* I can do it, but I might drop dead at the end. (Why did I choose to record 62K when I could have done 20K and be finished by now????)

Congrats on having over half done!! That's a lot! (Why so long indeed -_- I'm asking myself that question about my Epic track podfic). We're going to have a GSD week starting tomorrow so hopefully that will help motivate you again!

I'm chugging along with Exeunt, Pursued By Heteronormativity. All six chapters recorded (phew!!), one chapter completely finished, three chapters edited and awaiting musical additions, and two more chapters to finish editing. I'm adding musical interludes throughout the chapters, more than I usually do, since music is such a presence in this story. It's fun but requires a lot of fiddling. Fortunately I'm a fiddly sort of person :) I'm saving a music-free edition of each chapter too.

Oh yeah, and I need to make a cover...all in good time!

I'm recording Lost and Found, by Conzieu for Epic Bang. So far, I have recorded parts 2/4, and edited part 1 and am about 1/4 done editing part 2. Hoping to have everything recorded and edited by the end of the month and then ship it off to the beta for an initial listing...

Speaking of which, if anyone knows of Harry Potter Snarry pairing betas for a 10+ hr recording...let me know. :)

I'm only doing artwork, but I'm currently in the middle of a spell of what I can only characterise as internet mutism.

It's really (REALLY!) difficult for me to write this right now, the idea of hitting the post comment button is feeling like nails down a blackboard and I'm finding it impossible to find the right words to reach out to my podficcers.

(All of which isn't helped by the fact that RL is rubbish at the moment on several fronts, my social anxiety is in overdrive and I can't work out whether I'm supposed to be PM-ing them, or if there's an official contact thing with their email address I've missed somewhere in the PBB setup, or what...It's been far too long since I've taken part, and I've forgotten all the protocols!)
