If there are specific scenes or visuals that really stand out for you in the story you have chosen to podfic, consider mentioning them in your comments as potential enticements or inspiration.
Art requests will be accepted on an ongoing basis until December 17th. Artists may jump in and claim any podfic that sparks their interest. Podfic + art is due to be posted December 18th-31st.
Epic Podfic Big Bang GSD week is here! This week is a week to work hard on your project and get lots of encouraging feedback! To that end, like last time, I am running several activities that will hopefully help motivate everyone.
1) Bingo Cards! I still have those Podfic Big Bang GSD Bingo cards but I've now made them EPIC. If you want one let me know in a comment, DM, or tweet and I'll set you up. There is no prize other than a feeling of great satisfaction but that feeling is indeed great!
2) Sprints! I will be hosting sprints on twitter. Don't worry if my twitter is locked I will unlock for sprinting. The schedule is below.
3) Daily Challenges! I've set a challenge for each day! Once again there is no prize save for the satisfaction that you have gotten the achievement and Done The Thing.
4) Daily accountability check in posts! These are totally optional. I'll post the challenge every day and on that post you can post things like "I want to record 3 chapters today" or "I plan to edit 30 min during my lunch break" and also report on how well you met the previous day's goals.
**Sprint Schedule** (All times are CST)
Sunday: Evening Sprints with Opalsong (7:30pm-11pm)
Monday-Wednesday: Morning Sprints with Opalsong (8:30am-11:30am)
Thursday: Possible Evening sprint with Opalsong (8pm-11:30pm) (this one is up in the air)
Friday: All Day Sprints with Opalsong (9:30am-whenever people lose interest) (if you don't see a sprint happening just DM me on twitter and I'll get one started for you)
Saturday: Mid-Day Sprints with Opalsong (11am-2pm)
I'll host all sprints on Twitter. I'll tweet when we're starting and you can reply if you want in.
On top of all this if anyone wants to organize things of their own for specific days let me know and I'll include it in the daily post.
Hope everyone has fun and gets stuff done!
PS: Feel free to use this GSD week for projects other than Epic Podfic Big Bang (though hopefully you're finished first). #ITPE is coming up and if you or someone else wants to use this to help for that, that is more than welcome!
How are you doing? Still chugging away? Panicking? So far past done that you forgot about it? Worried that #ITPE will eat up all your time (or vise versa)?
Reminder that next week (13th to 19th) is GSD week. I'll try to have some of the same activities and milestones as last GSD week. Is there anything you want to see? That you would find really helpful?
Check in number 4 for Epic Podfic Big Bang is now live! How is your project coming? What's your game plan? Are you struggling anywhere or is it going way too smoothly?
For those of you that participated in podfic big bang, how has switching projects been going? Did you find that finishing and posting gave you new energy? Did you need a break? If you didn't participate in podfic big bang, have you been working steadily? Did you find the posting inspirational? or distracting?
Was the GSD week useful? What activities did you enjoy and what didn't work? Is there anything you'd like to see in the future?
Also a reminder that Paraka is running a 3 Day Novel Podfic challenge on twitter that has open posting during the year (so if you finish something now you can post it later. or if you later on finish something in 3 days you can post it to the collection on AO3) and so there will be a fair amount of sprints and podfic talk over there if you need some motivation.

Warnings: Macabre imagery and descriptions of death and violence, mentions of canon character death
Reader's Notes: So...this was not the fic I originally signed up for Podfic Big Bang with. But then after sign ups I fell ass over teakettle in love with Critical Role and decided rather late in the game to do a long podfic in this fandom instead. I'm desperately in love with this story and it has been an interesting challenge in terms of performance choice and interpretation. I cried real tears while performing this story, yo. All my thanks to nessismore who's not in this fandom but did an INCREDIBLE job of making the cover art. Thanks also to Griftings for giving me permission to podfic their story!
Also used to fill my "rites of passage/coming of age" square for trope_bingo and my "incorporate physical sound" square for podfic_bingo.
Summary: Vex wakes with a gasp, coughs violently. Trinket lifts his head from the floor, blinks sleepily and groans at her in confusion. She sits up in bed, her hair falling in a curtain around her face as she rests her forehead against her knees. Her heart is racing, but already the details of the dream are starting to slip away, and grasping for them is like trying to catch hold of running water.
It's-- it's fine. It was just a dream. Everyone dreams.
Or, the one where Vax is not very persuasive, and Vex deals with the consequences. Or, rather, tries quite desperately to not deal with them.

Summary: For most of college, Grantaire was hopeless over Enjolras, and everyone but Enjolras knew it. Now he’s worked to get over his crush, and for the most part, he's fine. When Combeferre asks him to choreograph and dance in the Midsummer Night’s Dream-inspired opera he composed as his senior thesis, Grantaire says yes, even though he’s cast opposite Enjolras, as Puck to his Oberon. The chance to dance is worth the potential problems, and he'll have his friends as a buffer.
He doesn't count on long hours of practicing and choreographing and talking together, while they try to figure each other and their futures out. As much as he tries to avoid it, it seems inevitable that he falls for Enjolras again, and this time it isn't a crush.
